OddMuse - an ingenious wiki engine.

As the Apache and the Pearl is running everywhere I work, I used OddMuse as personal wiki. Thus it was found out small problem. At attempt to copy OddMuse files from one machine on another, there can be problems with access rights on files and accordingly glitches in work of the mechanism of tracking of versions, etc. To solve them I has grown lazy (most likely it was to archive the OddMuse data directory and to copy it between Linux machines with identical names of users, etc., and I copied with Ubuntu on WinXP and back through USB flash drive). To start began simply OddMuse under Windows, thus by virtue of the known reasons no problems with access rights on files arise )) OddMuse perfectly works in any browser because has no modern features. This wiki is easily installed on free hosting on which isn’t present MySQL, but is Perl (fatal.ru, for example).

For use OddMuse as PIM personally strikeout and highlighting was necessary for me. At that that it is possible to do the first by strikeout html tags, the second is complex to make convenient. I have acted very stupidly – have redefined background color in CSS for tag I. And simple italics became “the painted over marker”. Now for me bold designates the important problems, strikethrough - cancelled. And italics, it the text allocated by a marker – carried out tasks.

It would be possible to develop this theme and further, but I have found out, that TiddlyWiki is able to show too a little wiki tiddlers on one summary page, and advantages OddMuse became less obvious. But as primitive easily installed wiki engine OddMuse from my point of view equal to has no.
